Health & Safety

This page will be updated should any national, state or local guidelines change that impact the conference. Please watch this page for updates as they are announced.

NDA prioritizes the health and safety of our community and show participants and we are committed to providing a healthy meeting environment and experience at Demolition San Diego, taking place February 26 – March 1, 2022. Throughout the planning of the Annual Convention and Expo, NDA will follow best practices recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, as well as abide by the legal mandates and recommendations from both the State of California and County of San Diego. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. Together, we can enjoy a safe and productive show for all of our participants.

Vaccination

As of February 16, 2022 proof of vaccination and/or negative test for COVID-19 is no longer required for event attendees. Attendees are not required to provide proof of status.

The most effective way to ensure the safety of all attendees is for them to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. By California policy, people are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19: two weeks or more after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna or other vaccine authorized by the World Health Organization), or two weeks or more after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson [J&J]/Janssen).

See CDPH Guidance for Large Events for additional details.

Masks

As of February 16, 2022, masks are now recommended for those who are vaccinated and required for those who are unvaccinated. Attendees are not required to provide proof of status. Visit the Convention Center website for more information.

*NDA reserves the right to update or modify the above requirements/recommendations based on the guidance of federal, state, or local health authorities at any time prior to the event. NDA will notify all registered attendees of any modifications or updates to these requirements.

If You Feel Ill during the Event

All attendees agree that they will not attend any Demolition San Diego events if they feel ill at any time during the event with any flu-like symptoms. Attendees that feel ill agree that they will self-isolate in their hotel room, and contact a local health provider for assistance. NDA and the hotel will have information on local COVID-19 capable health providers during the event.

Local COVID-19 Testing

Testing sites are available near the hotel for attendees to obtain a rapid test for those who experience symptoms on-site and/or for anyone who must show proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test in order to board their return flight.
