In the spring of 1972, a group of demolition contractors met in Hollywood, Florida. These contractors lived with the challenges of a highly competitive industry every day and saw the benefits of joining in common interest. The following year, Demolition Age magazine’s first issue was published, and, in November 1973, the National Association of Demolition Contractors, now the National Demolition Association, was established. In 1974, the association held its First Annual Convention & Expo at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada.

The association will officially launched our Golden Anniversary in the fall of 2023 and came together to celebrate the accomplishments of our 50-year history March 6-9, 2024 at the 2024 Annual Convention & Expo in San Antonio, Texas.
