EPA Webinar Schedules Webinar for Lead-Paint Rule

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting a webinar for contractors, landlords, realtors, and property managers on the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. ET. To participate in the webinar or for more information, visit EPA's website.
The RRP Rule requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and pre-schools built before 1978 have their firm certified by EPA (or an EPA authorized state), use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers and follow lead-safe work practices.

The presentation will cover when contractors need to be certified under the RRP rule and how to obtain certification, information on lead-safe work practices, and requirements for providing renters and home buyers with information on lead-based paint.
