OCTOBER 7, 2011 NATIONAL DEMOLITION ASSOCIATION OFFERS KEYS TO SUCCESSFUL DEMOLITION PROJECTS (pdf) Architects, engineers, real estate developers, general contractors, and purchasing agents should have a basic understanding of the demolition process and what’s involved in a standard demolition contract before embarking on a demolition project. The National Demolition Association is offering a free planning guide and sample contract language to help buyers keep to project schedules and costs, and avoid unforeseen liabilities.

AUGUST 3, 2011 NDA SCHEDULES DEMOLITION SAFETY, ESTIMATING TRAINING AT SEPTEMBER EVENT (pdf) (doc) The National Demolition Association’s Fall Education Program provides essential training to industry professionals involved in the demolition process. Courses cover OSHA 10-hour Demolition Specific, Demolition Project Management, and Demolition Estimating. The program set for Sept. 23-24 immediately precedes the Annual C&D Recycling Forum. JUNE 14, 2010 – NATIONAL DEMOLITION ASSOCIATION PUBLISHES ‘HIGH REACH DEMOLITION MACHINE GUIDANCE DOCUMENT’ (pdf) (doc) The National Demolition Association has issued a guidance document for high reach demolition machine operators. The long boom arm on the machine provides for super-high efficiency and safety at sites with structures above three-stories high. The document was prepared by an NDA Work Group studying equipment safety.
